It's a lovely night for a walk...

Quickly becoming a Sunday night tradition, Matt, my parents, Tucker and I went for a nice 1.5 hr walk. We are lucky enough to still be around beautiful wildlife despite being surrounded by multiple highways, so we decided to walk through the park close to the house.

On this particular walk we happened upon a beautiful sight!

Two white-tailed deer! I tried to get a picture of them as quickly as possible, but they are as fast as they are gorgeous!

They leapt across the path in front of us and into the brush, but not before engaging in a stare off with Tucker.

As we journeyed on, we discovered why the park had closed its car entrance. Well, remember that storm I wrote about a few days ago???

apparently, lightning struck quite a few trees in this park....

but none were as *ahem* troublesome as this one...

Due to the incoming clouds, we decided to make the trek home. I'm starting to really love Sunday evenings.

Until next time,
Happy journeys!

Welcome to Summer in the T.Dot!

We wish for warm, humid weather and boy do we get it!

From strong winds, (there were a few tornadoes that touched down around Southern Ontario) to golf-ball sized hail, to a lightning/thunder show that seemed to never end...Thursday June 8th was indeed a storm that will not soon be forgotten.

Having lost power for just under 11 hours, it was nice to be with my boyfriend, safe within the house, just watching the storm pass. The walk through the darkened neighbourhood just after sunset was quite a sight to behold in itself.

Click here to see some amazing pictures of the storm across Ontario.

Here's hoping for a beautiful T.O. Summer!

Until next time,
Christie
